A roof substrate designed to be used on roof garden areas where a lightweight and free draining growing media is required. This low nutrient compost can be used all year round for garden and roof planting projects where a lighter substrate is required for sedum or wildflower applications. Peat free.
Extensive Green Roofing Substrate is a low maintenance soil, containing the right balance of nutrients and is best suited for spaces such as sheds or garages. For areas designed to give high performance to water use whilst keeping the overall weight of the roof low. The planting depth can range from 1.6 – 6 inches in depth. Sedums, grasses and wildflowers are recommended plants as they have shallow roots and use little water.
A bulk bag contains approximately 1 cubic metre (1,000 litres).

No unless you request it. Generally, we find that sterilisation kills off beneficial microorganism essential for soil health. If you do require sterilised soil, please see this product here.
Yes, but only small ones as all the larger stones are removed. Some stones in the soil are important for good drainage, soil aeration and prevention of topsoil compaction.
